Mikumi National Park is located in southern Tanzania, about 283 kilometers west of Dar es Salaam. It is one of the country's smaller national parks but offers excellent wildlife viewing opportunities and stunning landscapes.
The park experiences a tropical climate, with a dry season from May to November and a wet season from December to April. The dry season is the best time for wildlife viewing when animals congregate around water sources.
